Summerwind Plaza

June 2004-Joe Funk Construction Engineers has completed the the new 8,000 square foot Family Dollar Store in Garland, Texas. The first phase of the shopping center included site work, firelanes, landscaping and The Family Dollar Store.

Phase Two is scheduled to begin in the Winter of 2005 and it will include a 9,000 square foot strip retail center. Tenants will include Check-N-Go, a Coin-Op laundry store, an Insurance company, and a Nail Salon.

Mitchell Meyers, General Partner for Summerwind Plaza and Vice President of Joe Funk Construction Engineers is excited about Phase Two of the retail Center. " Garland is a vibrant area for development and we are excited to have The Family Dollar Store as part of this center. We are doing preliminary construction estimates in preparation for Phase Two. Joe Funk Construction Engineers has been helping with the cost estimates and value engineering."
