El
Porton Shopping Center
February
2004—Joe Funk Construction Engineers
is the general contractor tapped to build a new shopping center
in McKinney, Texas. El Porton Shopping Center,
which means the "Gateway" to McKinney, is a new 20,000
square foot retail center. The retail center will be built at
the northeast corner of I-75 and Eldorado Parkway.
Bry Taylor at Bryson
Realty Advisors is marketing the property and has
begun pre-leasing the shopping center. The shopping center will
be complete and ready for occupancy mid-summer 2004. "We
look forward to working with Joe Funk Construction on the El Porton
project. Their preparation and attention to detail is impressive,"
says Bry Taylor. Bryson Realty Advisors is a full service brokerage

Jon Mindrup at Good
Fulton & Farrell Architects, one of the Metroplex’s
best architectural firms, has worked on the design and administrative
phase services for the El Porton project. "It is an honor
to be selected as the general contractor on the El Porton project,
and we certainly look forward to working with Good Fulton Farrell
Architects. Their reputation for quality design and first class
projects is well deserved," says Mitchell Meyers, Vice President
of Joe Funk Construction. "We are pleased to continue our
association with them.”
The El Porton project is a perfect fit with the
talents and extensive experience of Rusty Norris, who is leading
the Joe Funk Construction team as project manager. Dale Donnelly
will be the El Porton project field superintendent. "We are
excited about working with Bry, and again working with Good Fulton
Farrell Architects. It is a signature project," says Rusty
Norris.
