February 2006—Members of
Congregation Ohr HaTorah selected Joe Funk Construction
Engineers to build their new 40,000 sf, two-story permanent synagogue
located on 6324 Churchill Way in North Dallas. For the last year
and a half, our firm served as Construction Manager during the
first phase of the project working together with the design team
and owner representatives to complete architectural drawings and
deliver extensive pre-construction and planning services.

The new synagogue will feature a 450-seat sanctuary, a social
hall that can accommodate up to 500 guests, kitchens, chapel,
youth facilities, bridal lounge, classrooms, an open courtyard,
and rabbinic offices. Total contract value is $7.2 million with
an official groundbreaking scheduled for late March. Completion
date is June 2007. Visit www.ohrhatorahdallas.org.
