Joe Funk Construction Engineers has been awarded a $5 million contract with the Dallas Independent School District for a four school renovation package. The schools to be renovated include B.F Darrell Elementary School, Sarah Zumwalt Middle School, Harry Stone Montessori School and A. Maceo Smith High School. The renovation work will commence September 2005 and work will be completed February 2006. Leading the Project Management team for Joe Funk Construction Engineers is Richard Lanier who will be managing four schools. Walter Kilroy is the Program Manager for DMJM Management and RPGA Architects is the Architect firm for DISD BP # 60.

"DMJM Management has offered us an excellent opportunity to work for the DISD again. We value the time and energy Walter and Steven Solka have put into this school package preparing for the renovation work. It is a pleasure working with DMJM and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them" says Mitchell Meyers Vice President of Joe Funk Construction Engineers.

"Joe Funk Construction Engineers came into the negotiations with a creative, outside the box attitude and helped us get this school package renovation under the budget. This allowed us to begin construction and complete the work on schedule for the DISD. This will only strengthen our relationship with Joe Funk Construction Engineers and help get the children new and improved facilities this school year" says Steven Solka Deputy Program Director of DMJM Management.
